HEMATITE LAKE TRAIL Join this staff-led safari to trek through the forests and wetlands of the 2-mile Hematite Lake Trail to uncover the dark hiding places of our favorite slimy creatures, the amphibians! This time of the evening is the best time to see beavers, herons, waterfowl, and songbirds. We will end the night enjoying the sunset from Hematite Dam. Program free to all LBL visitors. Sat., Jul. 26 7-9pm A Night with Lightning Bugs NATURE STATION Lightning bugs, also known as fireflies, abound in the fields and meadows surrounding the Nature Station. Join us for this evening program as we make bug jars, play some games, and take a night hike to see what's lighting up the woods. $2/$3. Evening program only. Reservations and full deposits required.
