Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL) offers multiple uses and multiple resources. While visiting, you may see various management activities in progress. Some areas are maintained as open lands using prescribed fire. In other areas you may see trees being planted, thinned, or harvested. LBL provides diverse habitats for the plant and animal communities of our area. Some tree species for instance, require full sunlight to germinate and grow.
