Laser Shows at the Golden Pond Planetarium
GOLDEN POND, KY - An exciting new attraction is coming to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. During the month of August, Laser Light Shows will be featured at the Golden Pond Planetarium.
There will be shows for the whole family to enjoy at 12 noon each day in August. These shows contain stories based on Greek Mythology, legends, constellations, and laser lights that will provide wonderful entertainment. "These midday shows are a fun new way to provide an educational experience for everyone to enjoy," stated Don Partain, Planetarium Manager. "Our humorous characters keep viewers engaged and desiring to learn more about astronomy."
Also available are Friday evening Laser Light Shows August 7-28. There will be a variety of shows beginning at 6:45 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:15 p.m. Each unique show features a range of music that includes U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Pop & Retro mixes. As you will see, these shows are state-of-the-art as seen in music videos, world tour concerts, and other planetariums.
These brilliant Laser Light Shows will fill the 40-foot dome Planetarium, and bring music favorites to life. The shows contain laser lights synchronized to the surround sounds of popular soundtracks to provide a unique experience like none other in this region.
Admission is $5 ages 13 & up, $2 ages 5-12, and 4 and under are free. Group discounts are available. Seating is limited. Reservations recommended.
