LBL's Woodlands Nature Station and The Homeplace Plan Labor Day Weekend "Summer Finale"

GOLDEN POND, KY - Spend your Labor Day Weekend enjoying a variety of outdoor activities that celebrate the end of summer at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area.

Join us Sept 5-7, as we celebrate LBL's Summer Finale at The Homeplace (HP) and Nature Station (NS). Activities will include appearances by Smokey Bear, canoe trips, old-time music, a watermelon feast, period pastimes, and much more. Visitors to the NS can also enjoy live animal programs, nature exhibits, backyard bird-watching, and nature trails. Those visiting the HP will experience 1850's-style summer fun beginning with old-time music, some period pastimes, old-time games and toys, and an old fashion ice cream social.

"LBL's Summer Finale is a great way to celebrate the end of summer," stated Cindy Earls, Special Events Coordinator. "This Labor Day Weekend event is full of summer fun and educational activities from canoe trips to old-time music that everyone in the family can enjoy!"
