There is also a new kid's area - Turkey Trot - a 1/2 mile kids' riding/learning trail. The entire area is fenced off and incorporates many fundamental obstacles for beginning riders (small rocks/logs, uphill/downhill/sidehill challenges, sharp turns, and whoop-dee-doo's), providing children an avenue to learn trail riding basics to become more confident on their machine.

Turkey Bay OHV Area Main Trail 3-11-2014 During the most recent Turkey Bay OHV Area trail assessment, a major washout on the main trail was discovered. This washout has made the trail impassable, and is just one of the many repairs needed for visitor safety. This photo shows a staff member standing in a washout that is several feet deep and wide. Heavy equipment is working on the trails at this time.
